Is a Charcuterie board a good idea at a Dinner Murder Mystery game?

A Charcuterie board is a great addition to a Dinner Murder Mystery party game.

At Dinner Murder Mystery we think a sit-down meal in the middle of the game is the best idea for your murder mystery party as it differentiates between the first and second half of the game when new information is given.

However, a Charcuterie board would still be a great addition to your Dinner Murder Mystery party along with refreshments during the time of mingling and questioning.  Charcuterie boards are gorgeous and they have a combination of textures and flavors to snack on and don’t take a lot of time to prepare.

A Charcuterie board usually has some cured or smoked meats such as bacon, salami or ham.  It has a variety of cheeses, nuts, olives, bread sticks, crackers and dip and some fruit such as blueberries, raspberries, grapes or kiwi.  It’s all piled up and arranged together in a beautiful burst of color.

With more and more people having dairy and gluten allergies we have been to parties that cater to those needs as well.  It’s quite easy to have two Charcuterie boards, one with everything you want to include, and one that offers dairy-free and gluten-free options.  There are multiple places that have gluten-free salami, ham and various meats, cheeses, crackers and fruit and that also offer dairy-free cheeses.  You may alternatively want to go organic, and that is a great option also.

If you don’t want to prepare a Charcuterie Board yourself for your murder mystery party at home there are a number of places that deliver, depending on your location.  That is a little more pricey of an option but might also free up some time for you as the host that can be used doing other things in preparation for your party.

So, if you are looking to add some appetizers for your Dinner Murder Mystery game a Charcuterie board is a great way to go.  Guests can snack and mingle and hold off any hunger before dinner is provided.
